Pssst… The cocktail actually appeared on the scene well before prohibition hit America in 1920, we know martinis were being mixed by “Professor” Jerry Thomas at the Occide...

Vodka/Gin Martini

Vodka/Gin Martini

‘Shaken not stirred…. Coming right up Commander Bond’… this is the cocktail of choice for your aspiring 00 agent. Just be careful what you do with your Walther PPK after you’ve knocked back a couple of these.

INSTRUCTIONS

How to make a Vodka/Gin Martini:

Chill your Martini glass with cubed ice and soda water straight away.

Chill down your Boston glass by spinning the Ice in it with a bar spoon.

Discard the Ice and fill it up again with dry Ice.

Add a Bar spoon of Dry vermouth for a wet martini
Add ½ a Bar spoon of Dry vermouth for a Dry martini
Don’t add any vermouth for a naked martini
Add a dash of olive brine for a dirty martini

Add 2 shots of your choice of either Vodka or Gin

Stir until the drink is chilled, this could take a minute at least, don’t over stir as it will dilute the bourbon.

Fine strain it into your chilled glass and garnish with either a lemon zest or an olive.
